Alex Ogus

Alex Ogus was captivated by film early, an animator studying under accomplished NYC artists by age 9. One of his college short films was selected at the Providence Rhode Island International Film Festival, featuring a score by Alex Lifeson of the rock band RUSH. Ogus has since directed commercial campaigns all over the world and collected numerous honors – 4 Cannes Gold Lions, a Clio, and multiple Bessies including Best of Show. The following year, his spot for Media Markt was a finalist at Cannes and one of the top campaigns in Belgium.

Ogus’s US ‘Levitation’ spot for Asics was featured in Creativity, shots and Shoot. His spot for Societe Generale won at the London International Advertising Awards and became part of French popular culture by being spoofed on the Canal+ show Les Guignols. Recently, Ogus directed the official music video for “Gonna Be You,” a song in the Paramount film 80 For Brady, with performances by Dolly Parton, Belinda Carlisle, Cyndi Lauper and Gloria Estefan.
