Eclectic directing duo Spielbergs, comprised of Alex Karpovsky and Teddy Blanks, have returned to the Washington Square Films roster. Their work fuses absurd, surrealistic visuals with dynamic character-driven storytelling, as demonstrated by their work on the Amazon series, The New Yorker Presents and branded work for clients such as Dollar Shave Club, RAM and North Carolina Education Lottery. Blanks is the co-founder of the Brooklyn-based designer studio CHIPS. He has designed and produced title sequences for over 100 films and television shows, including “Midsommar,” “Russian Doll,” “Escape at Dannemora,” “Mozart in the Jungle,” and “Lady Bird.” Karpovsky has directed five feature-length films as well as episodes of “Girls” (on which he played the role of Ray Ploshansky) and “Love.” He has also acted in over 50 films and is currently starring in “Homecoming,” and Amazon dramatic series starring Julia Roberts and Bobby Cannavale.
