Craig Pospisil

Craig Pospisil is the award-winning author of Months on End, Somewhere in Between, and Life is Short, all published by Dramatists Play Service.

Months on End had its world premiere at Jeff Daniels’ Purple Rose Theater Company, and has since been produced in Los Angeles and around the country, as well as in Australia and Hong Kong. Somewhere in Between has had over sixty productions, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Australia, and in Paris. His musical, Drift, written with composer Jeremy Schonfeld, was produced as part of the 2006 New York Musical Festival. His play, The Dunes, was recently produced by the Venice Theatre and Theatre Conspiracy, and he is currently working on a commission for a new musical with composer Michael Ogborn (Baby Case).

His award-winning one-acts, including It’s Not You, Free, and On the Edge, have been widely produced, and published in numerous collections and publications. Craig’s plays have been seen at Ensemble Studio Theatre, Bay Street Theater, New World Stages, City Theatre, PSNBC, West Coast Ensemble and the Caldwell Theater, have been performed on four continents and have been translated into French and Cantonese.

Craig is head writer and associate producer for theAtrainplays, the acclaimed Off-Broadway twenty-four hour theatre project, and three of his plays are published by Playscripts in theAtrainplays and the upcoming theAtrainplays, Vol. 2. Craig is Artistic Advisor at the Winter Harbor Theatre Company in Los Angeles and Portland, Maine, and the editor of Outstanding Men’s Monologues Vol. 1 and Outstanding Women’s Monologues Vol. 1, published by Dramatists Play Service.

A native New Yorker, Craig received his Masters degree from New York University’s Dramatic Writing Program and is a member of the Dramatists Guild.
